Artigots is a vineyard with bush vines planted on two terraces, the smallest of all the Scala Dei vineyards, located on the slopes of the Montsant. The soil is made up of cobblestones, gravelly and deep, and its orientation is completely north. It is one of the vineyards that the monks had planted with Grenache for centuries.

With this wine we wanted to recover a winemaking heritage that existed in Priorat and that takes us back to the first wines from Cellers de Scala Dei. Vinified with 100% of the stems, this wine represents the most ancestral vision of this variety. The grapes are harvested during the second week of October, in small boxes. With the grapes crushed (not whole), we ferment it in a small cement tank, imitating the temperature peaks typical of the fermentations of the last century, with no added yeasts and pressing it in the cement tank itself. The Aging of this wine is 24 months in a 500 litre barrel. Artigots has only been made three times: in 2010, 2013 and 2017.
