This wine is mainly sourced from vineyards between 15 and 25 years old, planted on terraces where we work to obtain grapes with the characteristics of this wine: high acidity, concentration of fresh fruit without over-ripeness and lively but ripe tannin. The grapes with which we make this wine always arrive at the selection table in extraordinary conditions, as can be perceived when tasting it.
It is fermented in small open vats of 7,000 kg, with homogeneously ripened grapes. Fermentation with natural yeasts provides greater typicity. The time of pressing is decided by tasting: depending on the vineyard of origin, the contact time of the skins with the must can vary between 12 and 16 days. It then remains for 6-8 months in stainless steel tanks until bottled.
Intense red colour, with a bluish rim that denotes liveliness. A deep aroma of ripe red fruits, but at the same time fresh and attractive. Round and full on the palate, with hints of the fruit perceived on the nose and the typical minerality of the slate soils of the Priorat.
